Building skills through structured instruction and practical experience

We started in 2025 because students kept asking for practical courses that actually teach arrangement fundamentals without skipping technical details. Each session covers specific techniques — from stem preparation to color theory application — with real assignments and direct instructor feedback.

Why we're teaching this way

Most people who want to learn floral design run into the same problem. Pre-recorded tutorials miss the nuance of working with real materials that change depending on the season, supplier, and handling conditions. Questions pile up about why certain stems bend differently or how to adjust color ratios when specific blooms aren't available. That's where structured instruction with immediate feedback actually makes a difference. Students work through assignments using their own materials at home, then present results during live sessions where instructors point out what's working and what needs adjustment. This approach mirrors how professionals develop practical skills — through repeated practice with specific guidance that addresses individual technique gaps rather than following generic step-by-step formulas.

What you'll actually learn

Core techniques include stem mechanics, shape construction, color palette development, and occasion-specific design parameters. Each module builds on previous skills so you progress from basic arrangements to complex centerpieces and event installations with clear technical understanding.

How the sessions are structured

We offer both group sessions and individual instruction depending on how you prefer to learn and what schedule works for your commitments. Both formats cover the same technical material with different pacing and interaction models.

Group sessions

Scheduled classes with 6-12 students following a structured curriculum. You'll see how others approach the same assignments, which often reveals alternative techniques and problem-solving methods. Questions from other participants frequently address issues you hadn't considered yet.

Private instruction

One-on-one sessions scheduled around your availability with curriculum adapted to your specific goals. If you're preparing arrangements for a particular event type or struggling with a specific technique, private lessons allow focused attention on those areas without following group pacing.

Assignment reviews

Between live sessions, you complete arrangements using techniques covered in previous classes. Submit photos through the platform and receive written feedback on construction, proportion, and material selection before the next session where we discuss common issues across all submissions.

Who teaches these courses

Instructors have professional backgrounds working with florists, event planners, and design studios. They understand the technical requirements for commercial work and teach the same methods used in production environments. You're learning from people who've handled hundreds of event arrangements, not just hobbyists sharing personal preferences.

  • Experience with commercial floral operations and event production environments
  • Teaching approach focused on identifying and correcting specific technique issues
  • Background working with seasonal material variations and supply constraints
  • Direct feedback on submitted work between live sessions with actionable corrections
